As if the new van mentioned in the March Newsletter was not enough, we now have a new 48 passenger bus. With the addition of this bus, trips out of camp will be undertaken with less of a “caravan” and more comfort to the campers and staff. We will be able to have more versatility in the Thursday “Bunk Day” trips – getting out to trailheads for a day of hiking and mountain climbing, visiting the Adirondack Nature Interpretive Center in Paul Smiths, maybe even a trip to Fort Ticonderoga! As reported previously, these out-of-camp trips have been very successful (lots of fun for the campers) and so we have penciled several into our 1994 summer schedule.
