It’s off to a good summer with the Cardinal Girls. It has only been one week and already they have been busy playing softball, soccer, and getting to play in Birch Lodge with the many games such as pool, air hockey, ping pong, and fooze ball.

Boating has been an excitement for the girls because they are getting to try new things such as canoeing and fun-yaking. Some are even trying to get up on water skies for the first time; be it on the boom in Michael Humes’ boat, or on the short rope or on the long rope! Many of the girls are also enjoying getting to go swimming and show off their skills. They especially like to try balancing on the inner tubes, (standing that is!).

Overall, the first week has been busy and full of fun things to do. The most important of these things is making new friends!
