Camp Regis Applejack August Newsletter Summer 2020 Summary This summer was a strange one for us all. COVID-19 locked us into our houses and destroyed any plans we had for this summer. Camp, unfortunately, made the call to cancel our 2020 season for the safety of our campers, camp families, and staff. A week later, the state of New York determined it unsafe for residential camps to run this summer....

March 2020 is proving to be a strange month with the COVID-19 outbreak, but we are staying strong and hoping for a great summer in the great outdoors. Check in with the camp staff with any concerns, learn about our new exciting program of Ukele Building and Lessons from our Alumnus Mike Lemma coming this summer, and hear about the great time we had at the ACA Tri-State Camp Conference.
Our Februray 2020 Newsletter is a space this month to write about some new or expanded programs that we are really excited about for this upcoming summer. We are expanding our hiking/canoeing/backpacking trips to be longer and more intense. We are working with civil rights workers to discuss The Andrew Goodman Foundation which has been working on voting rights for many years so we are excited to partner with them. We are also in the beginning stages of setting up a 75th Anniversary Reunion at the end of our summer session this year.
Happy New Year and welcome to 2020! We are so excited for our 2020 summer and all the wonderful things it will bring. We are excited to be starting some new and exciting adventures for our campers this season. We are working alongside programs such as The Wild Center, Paul Smiths College, and The Adirondack Trust to bring these new adventures to light. Our campers are now going to be able to help conserve hiking paths, learn about the culture and history of the native peoples of the Adirondacks, and work towards making our planet sustainable.
This December 2020 we are excited to announce and feature our new CRAJ Scholarship Program that is going to help us support our large amount of campers on full or partial scholarships and give the experience of summer camp to even more children. This Holiday Season we are grateful for our CRAJ Family, past, present, and future, for all your love, support, and dedication to keeping kids outside and having fun away from their screens.

We at CRAJ wish you all a happy and healthy Thanksgiving.
