This week has been an adventurous one in Pioneering. We have been to Peter’s Rock, Copperas Pond, Bear Pond, Avalanche Pass, and Regis Mountain. The campers have been great. One of the best aspects of the trips has been the enthusiasm! They have learned how to set-up tents, how to build fires with the help of Krista and Cara, they will learn how to be wilderness survivors.

One of the most enjoyable parts of camping is eating s’mores. On the Eagle Girls trip to Copperas Pond, we introduced s’mores to Tracy McGovern and Masae Saito. They loved them. After s’mores, we enjoyed a peaceful evening. We felt as if the mountains that encircled the pond were our home!
